I used a combination of Bashful, Black and White Daisy Cardstock teamed with the gorgeous pink floral background & textured paper from the Gimme Some Sugar Paper Pack. I also used (today’s) favourite Thin Cut, the Solid Scallop Border and embellished with Gold Pearls.

I love creating special cards, like this ‘hugs’ card – there is always someone special who needs a hug. If you can’t give them a hug in person you can send them your love and a ‘hug’ through a sweet, personalised card.

This week I’m hosting my March Card Buffet. A fun event where you make 6 cards for just $15. Everything is pre-cut, the stamps are set up on blocks, the inks are in the basket along with any other ‘special’ products you need to complete each card. You choose a card and begin to create. It’s a whole lotta fun and a great way to build your own personal stash of cards AND, I LOVE that you have the chance to play with crafty product you normally wouldn’t use! This ‘hugs’ card is just one of the cards on offer this week.

I earn’t this amazing trip of a lifetime with Close To My Heart – a Mediterranean Cruise.
It was exciting, amazing and a fabulous experience and to share it with my husband Paul made it even more of an awesome adventure!
We did so much and saw so many places I am keen to share with you all.

I LOVE this photo!
Anyone who knows Paul knows he is the last person on this earth to want to have his photo taken but I cornered him on the ship with this photographer and it pretty much sums up our happiness from our time overseas – we had the best time, seeing amazing places with some amazing people.

Over the next couple of weeks in between my scrapbooking classes, card classes, paper crafting days and preparing for our 2018 Australasian Close To My Heart Convention, to be held in Melbourne this month, I’ll be sharing our story, our amazing trip of a lifetime thanks to Close To My Heart.

A shout out to all the wonderful Close To My Heart girls who also earn’t this amazing trip. So many amazing moments spent with these girls, so many heart warming memories made with these girls – I LOVE this photo to of us all on the Swarovski Crystal Stair case on our cruise ship MSC Meraviglia – so sparkly!

All throughout January I shared the beautiful Chelsea Gardens Collection and one of the the cutest cards the girls made, at my classes and gathering, was this Z-Fold card.
I’ve had a lot of requests on how I made this gorgeous Chelsea Gardens Z-Fold card,
below is my step by step guide, give it a go. It is fun and easy to make.

…I’m warning you now, once you’ve made one you will want to make more!

Z Fold Card Base:
White Daisy Cardstock 4” x 12” score and fold at 3” and 6“
White Daisy Cardstock 1 ¼” x 12” score and fold at 3”and 6”

To decorate card:
1 x Glacier Cardstock 3 ¾” x 5 ¾”
2 x Glacier Cardstock 2 ¾” x 3 ¾”
3 x B&T Glacier & White Stripe 2 ½” x 3 ½”
1 x B&T Floral 1” x 12”

NOTE: Decorate card base before you add Z Fold Strip.

Add Glacier Cardstock to base of card.
Add B&T Glacier & White Stripe on top of Glacier Cardstock.

Add B&T Floral to White Daisy Strip, score and fold at 3”& 6”.
Add this Z strip to card as shown.

Stamp “just for you’ onto a small piece of White Daisy Cardstock. Dovetail right side.
Dovetail a matching piece of Glacier Cardstock to match title.
Adhere both of these to front of card as shown, on a slight angle.
Embellish with Daisy Flower and Chelsea Gardens Dot.
 

Here’s a birds eye view of how to adhere the Z-Fold.

 Way fun to make – I know you’ll want to make more AND I know you’re already thinking about all the different designs you can make yourself!

I shared my love of the Charcoal Cardstock and how it tones so well with the Chelsea Gardens Paper Pack – throw into the mix this sweet stamp set and I’m sure it was a match made in heaven!

Chelsea Garden colours. In this card the Charcoal Cardstock makes for a fabulous frame to my card layered with the sweet striped and patterned paper and finished off with that ribbon – SO gorgeous!!

The title came from our January Stamp Of The Month and I finished my page off with a sweet Scallop Border made with our Thin Cuts.

 

This cute card I made with our White Daisy Cards and Envelopes using the sweet striped paper and floral paper from the Chelsea Gardens Paper Pack. I’ve fallen in love with the Charcoal Cardstock and find it tones in well with a lot of background and textured papers in our range so I added it to my card to give definition. I stamped my title with the January Stamp Of the Month and finished it off with Whisper Twine and a couple of Chelsea Gardens Dots and Gems.

Spruce Up Your Décor with These Beautiful Papercrafted Monograms.

For National Papercrafting Month, Close To My Heart designed a set of beautiful papercrafted monograms. Each letter comes as part of a kit containing the sturdy chipboard letter base, rose gold accents, die-cut floral embellishments, and letter stickers for customising your final artwork. These versatile letters can also be used together to spell out a whole name or word, this was a whole lot of fun creating this for Miss Lily.

I’ve been looking for a wall calendar to pop up near my desk, I knew what I wanted, one with 3 months in a row and something pretty! I looked every where and couldn’t find one but, when our new Seasonal Expressions 1 catalogue came out and it had a set of awesome Thin Cut – Block Numbers (cheering!) I knew exactly what to do 🙂 …I’d make my own.

I searched google and found the exact calendar I was after, printed it out and gathered a few fun products and started to create. The paper I used is from the new Seasonal Expressions 1 called ‘Gimme Some Sugar’ it’s SO sweet.

Fun fact: my new Thin Cuts – Block Numbers fit perfectly on our
Thin Cuts – Basic Banners ‘winning’ and here’s how it all came together…

I cut my numbers in White Daisy Cardstock with my Cuttlebug (if you have a Bigshot this works well too) and my banners I cut in our Bashful Cardstock which is the cutest shade of pink!
Fun fact: ALL the Close To My Heart Thin Cuts come on a magnetic sheet – just like the numbers above which is so handy to keep them all together.

Did you know ALL our Close To My Heart Cardstocks are two-toned?

To give you more flexibility as you create our two-toned cardstock features the original colour on one side and the other side features a lighter shade which makes it SO cool to create with. You can see here with my banners I cut the largest banner in the original colour then I turned over my cardstock and cut the smaller banner in the lighter shade – for someone like me who LOVES playing with paper this is awesome! Also, see the Thin Cut – Basic Banners just sitting there on the paper – you can use these to cut your pretty papers to, not just Cardstock!

I adhered my numbers onto the banners with my Close To My Heart Adhesive Runner which works perfectly for all types of paper crafting. I used our cool 3-D Foam Dots to raise the banner up to make it stand out. Then it was a matter of adhering it all together to make my perfect wall calendar.

To finish off I embellished it with a couple of small White Dots.
It was a whole lot of fun to make and came together rather quickly and since January is National Papercrafting Month it was a perfect project to make.

Check it out! I’m so pleased with the end result – my new calendar will see me through this brand new year.
