Hello & Happy Days!

November Stamp Of The Month is a whole lot of fun to play with.
I guess you could say I took this stamp set and added my own twist on how I used it and I love the end result!

hello-card-nov16sotm

By stamping the banners with our NEW ink colours Raspberry, Willow and Blossom then arranged the banners, using 3-D Foam Tape onto the White Daisy Cardstock. I matted this on Raspberry Cardstock and Willow Spots from our Adventure Fundamental Paper Pack.
The title was cut in Willow Cardstock with our ‘hello’ Thin Cuts. I finished my card with white dots from our Grey Enamel Gems pack (Z3089).

This is a fabulous set of Thin Cuts – Hello & Thanks (Z3259) it comes with both ‘hello’ & ‘thanks’ and is only $18 for the set!

I loved this card so much I decided to add my ‘twist’ onto a page and came up with this bright, fun layout. Perfect for our summer days which are just around the corner.

happy-nov16-sotm

I used Tangerine, Pansy and Blossom Inks for the banners with our Adventure Fundamental Paper Pack matched with Tangerine, Pansy and White Daisy Cardstock.
The Thin Cuts -‘happy’ was cut with Pansy Cardstock and the ‘days’ I stamped using Pansy Ink with Typography Alphabet stamp set.

…can’t stop at one!

When creating my challenge card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch #184
I couldn’t stop at making just one card.
How cute is this card!

14518217_10209797301745102_1626074661_n

This card began with a White Daisy Card, Black and White Cardstock layered with strips of our Uptown Fundamentals, Sea Glass Cardstock and Gold Glitter Paper. I created the white Hibiscus flower with our newest Cricut Cartridge ‘Flower Market’ and finished with a Gold Gem. 3-D Foam Tape was used to layer the strips on my card to give it dimension. The title came from our ‘Way To Go’ stamp set – such a versatile stamp set I’d recommend for any stampers collection.

I’m crushing on our Sea Glass colour and seem to add it to all my projects at the moment.

Guest Designer at Atlantic Hearts Sketch

I was thrilled to bits when asked to be a guest designer for
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. What an honour!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #184 ~ here she is!
This was an exciting challenge and I was on to it.

Sketch 184 Oh Deer!
I love glitter paper and I wanted to add sparkle to this card. I began cutting assorted strips of the Gold Glitter paper and Sea Glass paper. I also cut a strip of the ‘speckled’ design paper, from a Picture My Life card in the Oh Deer! Paper pack and adhered this to a strip of Gold Glitter. I laid out my strips onto White Daisy Card which I mounted onto Gold Glitter paper. When I was happy with the positioning I began to build my card from the bottom up, adding dimension with Foam Tape.
I adhered the bottom gold strip with E-Z Dots adhesive, adding 3-D Thin Foam Tape to the Sea Glass strip and 3-D Foam Tape for my centre strip giving it good height. I repeated the layers for the top 2 strips exactly the same as the bottom 2 strips. I also added 2 strips of the White & Gold Twine in between the Gold Glitter & Sea Glass strips.
I stamped Merry and Bright in Desert Sand Exclusive Ink onto a circle of White Daisy Cardstock which was adhered onto a circle of Gold Glitter Paper using Mini Glue Dots, these are fabulous to use when adhering anything onto glitter paper. Two Gold Sequins added the finishing touch to my card.

Now is the time to get started on your Christmas cards.
All of these fabulous products are available to purchase now http://www.jacquiepaech.ctmh.com.au

…here is a list of all the products I used on my card:

Australasia CTMH Convention 2016

This month Close To My Heart held its Australasian Convention 2016 right here in Adelaide, South Australia. This much anticipated event is a highlight of my year and having it here in my home town city was extra exciting.

Convention centre

We began Thursday with Leadership Day. Full of fabulous business training, creative training, incentive trip training and finishing up with a creative session where we made a fabulous mini album with our new Adventure Fundamentals Papers, stamps and embellishments.

Leaders Day Table

A highlight of Leadership Day is catching up with Leaders from other states. I shared a table with these amazing women Mandy and Shaunna from WA along with Helen and Shirley from Qld. Its fabulous to be with these empowering women and the best part is we all support, share and cheer each other on.

Leaders Mini Album product

We were all spoilt with gifts of awesome CTMH product and we had the opportunity to create this super cool mini album.

Mimco Necklace

We also received this beautiful Mimco pendant, a gift from the gorgeous Jeanette Lynton.

Jamie Olivers Restaurant

A super treat going to Convention is catching up in a relaxed atmosphere with our sister consultants. We had a lovely dinner at Jamie Oliver’s restaurant with a beautiful meal, lots of laughter and of course lots of photos. But, we weren’t the only CTMH consultants there that night. There were a couple of groups of CTMH girls from all over Australia so, you can imagine great conversations happening all over this restaurant and down stairs…well, you’ll just have to go and check it out yourself – the down stairs area at Jamie’s restaurant is very interesting. Oh, and you’ll want to take your camera!

Convention began bright and early Friday morning – there was excitement in the air!
With Kristina, Jill, Brian O’Callaghan, Brian Holman and Monica – check out these guys and girls, I guess you can say these are our bosses, who bring the whole exciting CTMH convention event to us. They make us laugh and they make us cry (in a good way) how many of you can say your bosses can do that AND look so fabulous in these groovy outfits? You just got to come and experience this all for yourself!

Team beach balls
It was fun sharing Convention with some of the girls in our team Brooke, Tracy, Karen, Sue, myself and Jodie had a ball of a time!

There were fabulous card swaps over the weekend and I made fun gifts for my girls with the colour theme based around Sea Glass our colour of the year.
This is what 500 girls cropping looks like.
We played with some brand new papers to be released in January 2017 and our corporate team spinning some moves for the camera with the colourful theme.

Sticky girl

Can you tell I was super excited to find a Sticky Girl stamp.
I now have a matching pair as I found a Sticky Boy in June at the US CTMH Convention.

Creativity Showcase 2016

Friday night I entered a sample of my creative work into the Creativity Showcase.
I shared Christmas ideas featuring the Oh Deer! Collection. Loads of girls stop by to say hello and take photos. This is a fabulous night where Consulants showcase their beautiful work. It was amazing to see all the creative talents in one room!

IMG_7610

Saturday was just as exciting as Friday. It was great to have Clare join us for one of the creative session. I loved having girls in our team being able to experience the bigger picture that Close To My Heart has to offer.

Op Smile Auction Ruth 2016

It was an honour to be asked to create ‘something special’ for our CTMH convention auction to benefit Operation Smile. Very happy to share it raised $400 on the day!
Thanks to Ruth for your generous bid.

 IMG_7701

We finished Convention off with a fabulous Gala Dinner and Awards night and you can tell by the smiles in this photo we all had a great night.

Swan Lake Treat Bags

I made these sweet treat bags using the beautiful Swan Lake paper. I love the way the colours tone in so well with each other.

img_6830

Each of the creative titles are my favourites. Clustering slices of Swan Lake paper, Peacock Ribbon, White Daisy cirlces with a hint of White Glitter Paper was super fun. It holds the best little treat ~ yes, it has something to do with chocolate (smiling)!

Happy Papercrafting

3 White Bows

Today I had to clean my craft table, a task where you really do ask yourself “where do I start”? The reason why is so we can begin my sisters wedding invitations which I’m really excited about. As I was putting things away and tiding up I found 3 white bows which I cut from our Cricut Cartridge – Artiste. These bows had been sitting on my table for a long time. They are so cute and I definitely was not going to throw them out so, I turned around and picked up my pack of Oh Deer! paper. I’ve been creating some gorgeous Christmas projects with this paper and I’ll share that in the form of a ‘Create Your Christmas’ workshop soon. I pulled out some left over bits and pieces and this is what came together…

white-bows

…it was good to use up the 3 bows, finally!

I added to the mixture of cards Gold Glitter Paper (todays favourite CTMH product). The Reindeer card was the cut from a Picture My Life card as is the sweet speckled design on the 2 Merry and Bright cards, how great do these look on a card! The large white bow/Gold Glitter card has a cute Zip Strip, not an inch of the actual Oh Deer! paper used.

I hope I have inspired you to start creating your Christmas cards.
My tip of the day: adding Gold Glitter Paper on your cards for a touch of glamour.
The products I used are pictured here and are available now at

…now on to the Wedding invitations!
